I'm actually 21 lbs down as of this morning! Yay! The scale is finally budging. I had a plateau over the holidays. More like a gain of a few lbs then had to lose them again to get back on track...hehe. I've had a lot of times when I've wanted to just give up, it can be so hard, but I just kept plugging because I have $$$ hanging over my head. Honestly the best motivator ever.
For those of you who don't know my little secret, I've joined a site called healthywage.com. I bet them (on September 5) that I could lose 30 lbs in 9 months. I have to pay $50 per month (so $450 total) in order to participate. I will lose that money if I don't make my goal....eek. My hubby is on my back all the time making sure I'm staying on track so I don't lose that money ;) BUT the catch is that my REWARD will be $1000 if I hit my goal! Which I will. I have to. I'm already 21 lbs down, I have 3 more months to lose 9 more lbs....I can do it! Also, if anyone signs up through my link I get $80 more added onto my prize (after the 1st person). So let me know if you want a motivator! It definitely keeps a fire under your motivation if you like money!
I've been running a lot lately. I run 4-5 miles (sometimes more) 4 times per week. I've also been counting calories like crazy. Lately I've been adding more veggies to my diet and I'm starting to cut out ranch dressing....which is my LOVE. But I've started eating Italian dressing on my salads, and eventually I'm going to try to do just salt, lemon, and olive oil. Slowly transitioning. Another thing I've tried to cut out of my diet is high fructose corn syrup. That stuff causes cravings like no other! I don't eat candy anymore...it's been almost a year since I've eaten candy! Woot woot! But I still love sweets and indulge every once in a while. I feel a lot better without the extra 20 lbs! Can't wait to see what 30lbs feels like!
