At 4 weeks after the C-section I am feeling great! Tiny bit of soreness, but nothing serious. My Dr. says I can start running again...woot woot...I'm not sure I'll feel up to it for another 2 weeks or so, but I'll slowly get back into it by walking and doing the elliptical first. I'm excited to get back into shape....my tummy flab is starting to drive me crazy ;) So, what we've done so far......
My husband and I have started eating A LOT healthier lately. I've always wanted to make healthy eating a lifestyle, but I believe it is finally happening. Our cupboards are starting to change. There used to be ramen, pretzels, chewy bars, and goldfish. Now you'll see wheat noodles, Lara bars, and some sort of healthy cracker with not very many ingredients. We have decided to cut out white flour and white sugar from our diet...but we are allowed one serving of white flour and one serving of white sugar per week. For example, one white hamburger bun at a celebration, or one piece of cake at a birthday. We decided that in order to enjoy life and stay sane, it is important to be able to allow those things once a week :) It's been fun this week learning new things to cook and making sure we are fed healthy things.
KIDS: The first awesome thing we did was change our kids eating habits. We make sure they have a fruit, veggie, and protein at every meal before they can have anything else. Here is the chart my awesome husband made for them so they can understand what their options are. They need to have the "green light" foods before they can have the yellow and red light foods. It's definitely motivated them to eat more veggies.
I started making recipes from this AMAZING blog. It has 100 recipes with REAL food. It's awesome, because she uses normal things like ketchup etc... but she makes everything more healthy by using WHEAT flour, or Spaghetti Squash, or yummy soups that I've never even thought of making. The PLAN: I plan to eat healthy, and log my calories with MyFitnessPal. Every 10 lbs I lose I'll post a picture and tell about how everything is going. I've already lost 5 lbs in 2 weeks, so things are going well! The first 10 lbs I lose, my reward is that I get to buy a new pair of pants. 20 lb reward is that I get a pedicure or massage...whichever I feel like ;) 30 lbs I get to highlight my hair for the first time in 3ish years. 40 lbs I get to audition for a show. 50 lbs, I get to go to Disney World....which is actually already happening, but my father-in-law is going to pay a portion if I get to my goal weight! Woot woot. With your help, I can totally do it. Here is my before pic:

I want to live my life with no major regrets. So here I am reflecting on my life thinking of all of the relationships I’ve had with people, the various places I’ve been, the things I’ve done, and lastly, the mindset that I’ve had while experiencing life. I know… That’s a lot, right?! Haha… There’s no way that I can remember everything, but the things I do remember are tied to some type of emotional experience because those are the easiest things to remember. Since happy experiences are the most fun to hold on to, I’m going to go off on a little tangent about a fond hobby of mine that produced a lot of memories in my life - dancing. As a little girl, I started my first dance classes, and I was in heaven. As I continued on, I learned how to twirl around, build technique, learn to dance with a team, and enjoy many relationships with the people I danced with. As I was reminiscing, I came across a few dance videos of me in college. Oh, how I miss it!
Transitioning into the present - I am now living a new life in Montana and getting used to the lifestyle. There are days that I love it and days that I don’t know what to do with my time. I am creating precious memories to hold onto and am so happy about the way my life is going. So I will continue to try and smell the flowers here in my new environment because whenever I do, they smell really good :).
Things that friends do (which is why everyone needs them)...
So, I just had my 3rd baby. Isn't he fun? Oh I just love newborns. They are so cuddly, fragile, sleepy (except at night), and precious. It's amazing to see how fresh and new they are and how they literally know nothing about the world except how to breathe, suck, swallow, poop, cry, and a few other things like make your heart melt.
Bridger joined our family on Friday, July 1st at 7:29 am. It was a scheduled C-Section, so there's not much of a story to tell ;) we got to the hospital at 5:30 am, checked in, the hospital was busy so they scrambled to find me a room. We got all set up, I was sooooo nervous. The anesthesiologist (anes) put me at ease, he was so wonderful. He made sure that all of my fears were addressed and he made sure that I knew he was going to make sure I didn't feel anything. We went into the O.R. and he gave me a spinal tap. It felt so weird. I started to get numb. 15 min later the doctor was in the room ready to deliver the baby. During the surgery I started getting really nauseous, worst feeling ever!!! I did not want to barf while being operated on! I told my anes. and he brought a barf bag and told me he was putting anti-nausea medicine in my I.V. and I didn't barf! Woot woot! Nausea went away. Then all of a sudden Dr. says "One push and then we'll have a baby"....I felt a little bit of pressure, and then there is was, the little cry of Bridger. The Dr. said he was peeing as he came out hahaha. I'd pee my pants too if I was being born ;) Then they cleaned him off while I was being sewn up and I didn't get to see him for what seemed like forever! Jordon finally brought me a picture of him to look at. Then after they got him all cleaned off, Jordon brought him in and put his face by my face. Oh, it was such a precious moment. My sweet little boy that I had carried for 9 months was finally here! And as calm and cute as ever!
The time in the hospital was awesome. Every time the kids came to visit, Asher was adorable. He'd say things like "Ooohhhh, he's so cute" and "ohhhh, look how cute he is". It was so fun to hear Asher love him so much. Chloe couldn't have cared less hahaha. She was just like whatevs. But it was pretty stressful when the kids were there, man, they are full of energy. It was so nice to have a few days of silence with our new little Bridger man. Ever since we've been home we've had a lot of help. The inlaws have taken the kids a few days and my mom has watched them during the day while my husband is at school. Now Asher is at Bear Lake with my parents and I have 2 kids....which is surprisingly easy. Chloe is a little angel without her big brother here bugging her all day. We'll see how next week goes. I'm starting to feel like I can do things, and next week will be my first week with all 3 kids....it'll be interesting. I pray for patience, obedient children, and more patience.

P.S. My sister Angela (the other writer on this blog) is one of the ladies in my family who just had a baby, so she will be out of commission for a bit. She is doing well though and will be back soon!!
